I have MS

I have MS.  There I said it.  It's official.
I'll never forget the day the DR said...."you have MS...Have a nice day" and left the room.  My wife and I looked at each other with no clue as to what that meant.  Oh sure we knew that it was a life long disease but that was pretty much it.

When we got home the internet research started. We found out it wasn't genetic (a fact now in dispute), it wasn't caused by lifestyle, and it was permanent.
There are 4 types of MS, I have the least common, Prmary Progressive.  I have the type there is no treatment for.  Instead of flare ups (called exasterbations)you just slowly get worse. More on that later.
MS is a auto immune disease where the body itself attacks the sheath (myelin) that surrounds the nerves. Because it can strike any nerves no 2 cases of MS are exactly alike.
You never know what part of the body it's going to strike next.
Back to the type I have,PP.  In PP we thought, you were not supposed to have exasterbations. HAH!  It turns out types of MS can overlap. Recently overnight I lost the use of my left leg. Upon investigation they found  it was caused by a new leison in my brain.  The horrible truth of that is, what do I wake up losing tomorrow?  Or worse yet, Do I wake up?
